MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES
Date: October 18, 2010
Present: Robert Annelli, Peter Kolodziej, Stephen Enoch and John Makuc
Also present: Mike Parsons of Kelly Granger and Parsons
The meeting began at 3:30pm
1. The minutes from 9.13.10 were approved as written.
2. The Board reviewed a well permit application for 44 Hupi Rd. The Board was unclear if there were neighbors on wither side of this lot and where the existing well was located and if it needed to be decommissioned. Mike confirmed that the properties on either side were vacant. He also confirmed that there are 3 shallow wells currently on the property that are being used and all will be decommissioned from servicing the house but will be kept for irrigation purposes. Mike will send a narrative stating this.
3. The Board reviewed a septic and well application for Cronk Rd (M235 L6). The Board was concerned about a pond located near the property (on the other side of the road) and how far it was from the proposed septic and well. The Board was also concerned about the fact that an alternative technology system wasn’t being proposed. Mike Parsons will look into it and get back to the Board.
4. The Board reviewed the special permit application for 149 Hupi Rd and wrote their opinion to the ZBA. The project as submitted does not propose any health issues.
5. The Board approved the revised well location for the Hall property on Blue Hill Rd.
6. Mail was reviewed which included an updated schedule of events for New England Keswick.
7. There were 18 people at the flu shot clinic.
8. The next Board of Health meeting will be on November 1st at 3:30.
